About

What 3GOaTs actually is.

No mythology. Here’s how it works.

The idea

Constraints create clarity. Movement creates progress.

Most goal systems fail two ways. First, no limits: unlimited goals, objectives, and tasks — and an endless list quietly becomes a way to avoid the work instead of doing it.

Second, they’re passive. A static list sits there waiting for you to remember it, judge yourself for the parts you skipped, and promise to do better tomorrow. The list never moves first.

3GOaTs is the opposite on both counts. Hard caps — three Goals, three Objectives each, three Tasks each — so every cap forces a real decision about what matters. And it doesn’t wait: your coach comes to you, a nudge in the morning and a check-in at night. It’s an active process, not a list you have to discipline yourself to open. The constraint is half the feature; the coach that comes to you is the other half.

The Power of 3

Three Goals. Three Objectives each. Three Tasks each.

Tasks / objective
01 · Goal

The summit

One outcome that defines winning, measured in months or years.“Build a profitable SaaS business.”

02 · Objective

A milestone on the way up

A measurable step, specific and time-bound.“Ship the MVP with 3 paying customers by Aug 15.”

03 · Task

A single concrete action

One thing to do, with a due date.“Write the landing page copy by Thursday.”

Three of each, and no more — and you finish one before you add the next, so the cap is sequential, not just numerical. Hit the limit and you’re not stuck; you’re being asked to choose. That choice is the point.

Your world

Your goals live in a world you can see. You’re at the centre — the core — and the areas of life you care about (health, career, relationships, and so on) orbit you as Regions. Commit to a goal in one and it becomes a mountain you climb.

Areas you’ve named but not committed to sit there too — an honest picture of where your energy is going, and where it isn’t. Your North Star — the deeper why beneath it all — keeps the whole map pointed one direction.

How the coaching actually works

Monte, Angora, and Billie are AI accountability coaches built into 3GOaTs. They know your goals, your overdue tasks, and how long you’ve been avoiding something — and they don’t wait for you to show up: a morning nudge, an evening check-in.

When you start a goal, your coach walks you through a structured conversation to define a real one — a measurable outcome, a deadline, and the personal reason you’re doing it (your anchor) — and pushes back at least once on every answer, because a goal you haven’t defended isn’t a commitment yet.

How they talk adapts: in onboarding you choose how you want to be held to it, from blunt and relentless to warm and steady. Same method, three voices — pick the one you’d actually listen to.

Monte
The Stoic · professional

Calm, exacting. Tells you what you did, not what you meant to do.

Angora
The Cheerleader, with claws · encouraging

Warm, relentless. Cheers for the version of you that scares you.

Billie
The Junkyard Dog · direct

Blunt. No excuses. Motivation optional, consequences included.

Where a goal can stand
Active

Defined, with at least one objective. You’re climbing.

Paused

A real constraint — travel, injury, life — put it on hold. The mountain waits.

Summited

Every objective complete. Flag planted, a slot opens.

Abandoned

You decided it no longer serves you. Behind you — a decision, not a failure.

FAQ
Why only three goals?+
Most people with ten accomplish none. The cap forces intention — want a fourth, decide which of the three matters less. That decision is the point.
Can I change my coach’s tone?+
Yes, in Settings. Your coach adapts immediately.
What’s a Raincheck?+
Defer a goal-setting session without losing your place. Your coach saves where you left off and picks it back up before your next climb.
What’s the Deep Dive?+
After your first mountain, an optional ~10-minute conversation to rank your life areas and surface your core values — the values your North Star is built from. Rain-check it and your coach offers it again.
What’s an anchor?+
The specific personal reason you’re chasing a goal — not the goal, the why. Your coach gets it before accepting any goal.
How is my data handled?+
Your goals, conversations, and profile live in your personal account — only you can see them. We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it with other users. To write coaching replies, your messages are processed by our AI provider under terms that don’t allow your data to be used to train AI models.
